NDT (MPI & LPI), including Load testing and Load cell hire,

This non-destructive testing (NDT) involves NATA Endorsed periodic Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) or Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) of lifting points on offshore lifted items and can be applied to:

• Lugs, Welds, Offshore Baskets and Cages, Beams and Containers
• New build items purchased through The Rigging Shed.
• Lifting points pre and post proof load test.

The Rigging Shed can also provide the following:

Consulting services for NDT and structure maintenance programs and procedures.

NDT Inspections which involve a visual examination of welds. Welds are assessed in accordance with National and International Standards, including MPI and LPI.

Pre and Post proof load MPI of pad eyes when tested using the Hydraulic lug testers.

A range of load cells available for hire with or without a Technician from 2.5t to 100t.

Test weigh hire with or without technicians.
