Our mobile facilities, all of which are NATA endorsed, allow us to inspect, repair, test and certify most lifting equipment, including Height Safety Equipment on site.

NDT

NDT (MPI & LPI), including Load testing and Load cell hire,

This non-destructive testing (NDT) involves NATA Endorsed periodic Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) or Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) of lifting points on offshore lifted items and can be applied to:

• Lugs, Welds, Offshore Baskets and Cages, Beams and Containers
• New build items purchased through The Rigging Shed.
• Lifting points pre and post proof load test.

The Rigging Shed can also provide the following:

Consulting services for NDT and structure maintenance programs and procedures.

NDT Inspections which involve a visual examination of welds. Welds are assessed in accordance with National and International Standards, including MPI and LPI.

Pre and Post proof load MPI of pad eyes when tested using the Hydraulic lug testers.

A range of load cells available for hire with or without a Technician from 2.5t to 100t.

Test weigh hire with or without technicians.

Workshop Facilities

Our workshop facilities are NATA endorsed to an ISO / IEC 17025 and comply with all relevant Australian Standards. The premises are fully equipped to inspect, repair test and certify lifting equipment.

Our workshop facilities also allow us to utilise non-destructive testing (NDT) technology involving NATA Endorsed periodic Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) or Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) of lifting points when required.

NATA endorsement ensures that you will receive maintenance of the highest standards. Our technicians are permitted to sign NATA certificates and are assessed continually. This means that they adhere to strict industry controls and have a thorough knowledge of Australian testing standards.

We can also inspect Height Safety Equipment and install systems onsite.
